Advisory Board Member: Wayne Marsden

Mr. Marsden provides business development strategies to both commercial and not for profit entities to capitalize on service and revenue-generation opportunities. Mr. Marsden has 30+ years of leadership experience in banking, insurance and financial service, along with considerable experience as a board member/volunteer in a number of Washington, D.C. area charities and community service providers. He specializes in: capital & fund raising; sales & marketing; strategic & tactical planning; cultivating strategic partnerships; program management and relationship building. He is a team builder and a business facilitator.

Most recently, Mr. Marsden was the founder of the first financial guaranty insurance company, which was dedicated to community and economic development, in which there was a definable social impact. He recently served as the Chairman and CEO of a nationally-acclaimed, free health clinic in Montgomery County, Maryland.

Mr. Marsden served in senior sales, marketing and planning positions within the financial guaranty insurance sector, in which he specialized in municipal & public purpose financings. During this time his passion for social impact, especially in healthcare access, fueled his desire to transfer many of his business skills to the not-for profit sector.
